UEFI … Is Not Anti-Virus, It is Anti-Trust

Whether you like it or not Microsoft is committing antitrust measures again to attempt to gain your usage of their OS. Yes ladies and gentlemen that is correct what I just stated. UEFI is supposedly designed to “prevent” anything that looks lika a boot virus from attacking your computer. However this is not the case. UEFI will prevent you the user from being able to make an informed and deliberate choice to use or not to use Windows on your machine. Microsoft is basically making your choice for you by locking the hardware and telling you it is for your own good.

Say No To UEFI

There you can say no to this kind of activity. Right now if you go to the Free Software Foundation’s site you can sign the petition to stop UEFI from being implemented on future hardware.Do not be lied to about what you the user can and cannot do with the hardware that you, the user own.

Everyone needs antivirus because we always want to secure our personal computers agains stuffs that would compromise our privacy and the integrity of our files. ;.`*. Take care dietary supplements blog site

    • People need antivirus, however not at the cost of our freedom to choose what we want as an OS on our computers. Microsoft is selling people a bill of goods that is absolutely rubbish. I as it is stated on my about page, am a Linux user and have been for quite a while. This corporation is wanting basically to lock down the PC to just Windows, not help you to secure your computer. We the user are responsible for the security and integrity of our files.

Once again, another monopolistic attempt by Bill Gates. At this age, we now have freedom of choice when it comes to operating systems, this “uefi” rubbish does not increase security ,but limits educated and technologicly inclined users ,developers, programers & administrators freedom. It is clearly abuse and an act of desperation by Microsoft. I am suprised there is no lawsuit due to this abuse!!!

Virus protection software requires some system resources to execute. You must perform testing before and after you install your antivirus software to determine whether there is any performance effect on the computer that is running SQL Server.:
